After serving together in World War 1, entrepreneurs Fred L. Mower and H. Allen Durkee started selling Marshmallow Fluff door-to-door with just a few tin cans. Word rapidly spread about this unique product and Marshmallow Fluff was quickly available on local grocery shelves, where the spread grew even more in popularity! In 1929, production moved to a factory in Massachusetts, more than tripling floor space to meet consumer demand. 

With World War 2 came supply shortages and sugar supply was rationed. Unwilling to stretch supplies and hinder the product quality, production was cut back. When sugar rationing ended in 1947, the packaging was innovated in response to consumer feedback and now has a wide opening to fit a tablespoon into. Perfect for enjoying straight out the tub on any occasion!

To this day, the business continues to grow along with those wishing to enjoy Marshmallow Fluff the same way generations did before them. Marshmallow Fluff is ideal for American lifestyle afficionados, nostalgic families, bakers, and many more.
